In a fantastical world lives an intelligent species that holds a
deep connection to the natural world. An unseen threat, bird mites,
transfer a mutated virus to a colony of swamp folk. Lichen spotted
legs become gnarled, knotted roots and half of the population is
rendered immobile, forced to watch themselves become one with the
ground beneath them.
